About

Blaco Hill Cottages are situated on a working farm just outside Mattersey, on the Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire border..

On the farm itself are three lakes, which have a wide variety of bird life both native and visiting species.

Adjacent to the farm is the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trusts Idle Valley nature reserve, which is a site of Special Scientific Interest and has a diverse variety of bird & wildlife.
